I love when one picks up a bug or worm and the others chase her around. I usually break into a race commentary! ("Out front we have Pippin who's little legs are running fast, close second is Gertrude who will not be defeated... OHHHH there an upset! Worm has taken the lead and she's using her wings to her benefit!") LOL it makes my kids laugh...

LOL! That is hilarious and so adorable! I love watching our hens go after little snakes and worms and they all run around chasing each other.

Sadly, I don't think we will be getting any chicks this year.

They're so fun though!

hello!i just want to kno are any of you guys getting chicks this yr?

Getting? Lol, I already have 4 batches and another one incubating!!! Our older hens became egg eaters so we rehomed them to a farm who lets them free Range a lot and they don't really care if they don't get a bunch of eggs. This just recently happened. And the saddest thing of all, is the Comets went!!!! We got 2 eggs from 23 hens daily, and there was bunches of broken yolk in the nests on a daily basis. So we are hatching a new generation, but all we keep getting is roosters! We hatched some of our hens eggs before they left, we had to wait til they laid and grabbed them like the second they laid them. And one of the babies is part Comet, part Swedish Flower. So we kinda have a Comet. Can I still stay in the club? Even though I don't still have a full Comet anymore? I really miss my comets though!!! But the people promised to take good care of them. We just couldn't spend the money on all that food when they were eating all their eggs.

Right now we have five 10 1/2 week olds, six 6 week olds, five 5 week olds, and five 2 1/2 week olds. But we still have a lot of roos and we have already rehomed 10 roosters!!! So we have more eggs in the incubator, 20, that we ordered online. Sadly, I haven't seen anywhere to buy more Comets this year. =(
