Okay awesome! I live on the east coast. In the Carolina area.

Ok,cause if you lived in maine near Newport you could by your chicks in Paris farmers thay have comets,but the minimum is 6.

Sadly I can't take on anymore chicks this year, but there is always next year!

Yeah, I know I probably won't realistically buy any more chicks for a while. We should have at least 10 laying hens with this new batch coming. That should be plenty.

My chooks are doing great! Have been outdoors for 5 days now but I've noticed some really bizarre behavior! For the last 3 nights, these little ladies are singing very loudly at dusk when I go in the run to help them into the coop. Not only are they loud, they are all over me! Jump on my head, my shoulders, one even clung to my backside tonight! Crazy girls! They arent old enough to lay (6weeks), so what gives?????

I am the treat giver throughout the day. My kids went in the run with me this evening and at first they thought something was wrong but then they were giggling when the chicks were jumping on their heads. I wish I could upload a pic.
Once in the coop, they get up on the perch and sing for another minute and then it all stops.
I have crazy comets!
