Golden Eyed Sumatras

Wow, thanks for all the info! And I'm not breeding for a pure show line Sumatra or anything in my flock, I was just interested in pursuing her unique eyes as a little side project and maybe getting her recognized because in my opinion she's one of the prettiest I've seen.

That is really bizzare. Considering that black eyes are recessive, this coloration doesn't just "pop up" in a group of birds. I don't think I've ever seen this piercing color before.
I'd be hesitant on confirming it as a mutation so far, but I would love to see what you produce breeding her.

I don't think it's that easy to get a new variety accepted in the APA. People have been working for years to get stuff like Blue Laced Red Wyandottes in...

She's really striking though! And so is that rooster.

I am aware that it is difficult believe me, but I've got my whole life ahead of me and I'm interested in trying.

Thanks! I'll keep y'all posted once I get a nice roo and start breeding pretty babies. Probably won't be for a year or so because I've got to build a new pen and get a better set up before breeding anymore birds, lol, chicken math is real.
