Hi
Can/will chickens eat Golden Hornet crabapples?

I dont have a tree, and don't know anybody who has.

But I am considering getting one.

And what about other kinds of crabapple? Like in the Malus baccata and Malus sylvestris species?

I think wild birds eat them all. But they dont have wheat and pellets every day.

Thank you.

I try again. Please help if You know anything about this.

Well, since people can eat them i suspect that chickens can as well. As to whether they will or not only time will tell, but they should be safe for them if that is your real question.

Thank you. I am not so worried about safe or not. I trust them to know or find out. But it would be nice to know if people find that they eat them or not.

If they dont, it could be because they find them unsafe or because they dont like them. The result is the same.

Do people really eat them raw?

Don't think so, I found recipes for jelly made with them. Probably too tart for humans straight off the tree, although a lot of fruits like this will get sweeter after they freeze.
