My golden Laced Wyannadotte (witch from now on i will refur to a my GLW, for those who have to learn letters like that the hard way)
She has a broken leg. It is now all swollen up. I have sepperated her from the other chickens and I really hope it will heal. I have given her normal Oranic Chicken food and water. Her poop is normal. She is now mainly laying down, but she does hop around on her good foot. Also, she lays down too poop. She isn't bleading anywhere, and she acts fine. PLEASE REPLY, i frear she may not get better. Here are a few pics of where she is and what she looks like:

When did she break the leg? Which part of the leg? Was the skin broken over the broken bone - that is, was the broken bone exposed? Have you done anything to stabilize the break - like splint it or tape it?

She broke it yesterday morning. I tryed to put a splint on it, but, I didn't know what to do. I will what do I use? A stick? What do I ty it on with? String? I didn't see the broken bone. She isn't even cut. What should I do to her?

Can you get her to a vet? I would think that any small animal vet would be able to take care of a broken leg, whether its a rabbit, cat or chicken...if it's a bad break they might also put her on an antibiotic so she doesn't get a blood infection or something...

Slow down - if the skin is not broken, it is not an emergency situation.

You know where the swelling is - is that where the break is? Is it above or below the hock joint?
