Hey Jen,
I talked to my riding instructor and it turns out she wants to add my Delaware Rooster to her flock!!
She has a huge 100 acre farm where they roam during the day (they mostly stay around the stables) so he would be quite happy there and have quite a few more ladies!
My Delaware Rooster has been with my bantam hens since they were all chicks. He is particularly attached to my one hen, Deliah, who he was kept separately with as a chick since the two of them were getting picked on by the others since they were smallest. Deliah and Drake (the Rooster) are always together, and seem to keep to themselves, while the other hens stick together. They do mingle and such, and Drake has started to check the other hens out, but Deliah still sticks to him like glue.
Do you think Deliah will be too stressed out once he leaves? Or do you think she will be okay to stay with me?
Anyway, I understand you need to get these two lovelys into a new home asap, and I would be willing to drive where ever next weekend to come get them! However, I would appreciate if you could meet me somewhere, just so I don't have to drive 8 hours total!
Thanks!!
