Golden sexlink rooster? Hen?

Thank you! Are you thinking roo on both?

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. Goldie Locks is definitely a rooster. Gold Sex Links are one of many labels in which hatcheries market their Red Sex Links. They are produced by crossing a red gene rooster with a silver gene hen so that the offspring can be sexed by color at hatching. Male chicks are whitish, female chicks are reddish. As the chicks mature, these color distinctions remain. Red Sex Links roosters are primarily white (with some reddish feathers appearing in the saddle area), hens are primarily reddish (with whitish underfluff). Please feel free to ask any more questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

Polish chicks are considerably harder to sex than sex link chicks (obviously), but looking at the rather wild crest development on your two Polish chicks, I'm thinking that both of them are probably roosters. However, I would recommend getting a second opinion from our sexing experts on our What Breed or Gender is This? section at https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this. I hope for your sake that I turn out to be wrong and they are pullets. Good luck.
