You should check with Speckledhen and see if she can send you a pic of the sling she is using for Zane. I bet you could easily make one and have Goldi in it if she needs a boost for a few days until the meds start working.

bantymum, here is a picture of Zane in his specially adapted bowling ball sling. He looks 100% better now and is starting to walk again, albeit, with the help of flapping his wings. He gets "sling time" about every day to get his leg unbent from underneath him and allow better circulation. I hope he recovers (it's been 3 months) and lives to be as old as your Goldilocks.

Here he is now-you can see he looks much better. He had an infection in his hock joint from a fall and it had to be drained several times and he was getting Pen-G injections, too.

Oh my I am new here and was reading about your 17 year old chicken! I did not know they lived so long.

I hope she is ok. As far as I am concern anyone that would spend 90 dollars on a vet for a chicken is a great person.

I have said a prayer for you and you chicken.
