mine roll the golf balls out of the nest and still eat the eggs, I guess mine have a mental problem or just to stupid to know what the golf balls are supposed to tell them.

I have two neon yellow golf balls in the nest box that my RIR thinks are going to make beautiful little babies. She wont stop sitting on them.
