Hey everyone i know some say their ducklings go through a scared stage but iam about to use their heads like a chainsaw pull cord.

They moved into a bigger coop 2 days ago, they were fine. Now today they arent my ducklings anymore

They hate me. Scratching and biting. Running around like little nut cases like the skys falling. Wont even come for peas anymore :(
One actualy took a panic attack when i only walked by and he broke his nail running no where and its bleeding

Anyone else experience this nonsense?

Be nice it’s the only way to win them over. ;) That plus peas and meal worms. Start by putting peas or mealworms in their water. Then when you have time to sit with them toss them on the ground and just keep doing it till you have them eating out of you hand. It might take a week might take a month. You just have to be patient. Yep that word again:)

These are the same dorks that were cuddling me last week. What a change
They have reached that wonderful state of nirvana called "teenager!" Yesterday, they were snuggling, sharing their ice cream cones and holding your hand in public. Today, they're walking ten steps ahead of or behind you and rolling their eyes at you like you're an alien. Waiting them out is, unfortunately, the only way to win them over. Eventually, they'll figureoutthat you have something they want (teenagers - the wallet and the car keys, ducklings - attention and mealworms,) and start tentatively wandering back. It won't happen overnight, but if you're persistent and (... sorry ...) patient, they'll come back.
In the meantime, enjoy your chicks. They'll pull the same stunt on you in a few weeks, but by then, you'll have teenagers all figured out ... ornot!
