Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! You might try some dark brown egg layers also, the Welsummers and Marans are the two most popular breeds for those. More Easter Eggers or Ameraucana for more blue / green eggs. For more white eggs, Ancona or some of the colored Leghorns like Exchequers are pretty. For pretty feather color, though they lay medium brown eggs usually Blue Laced Red and Silver Laced Wyandottes, and Speckled Sussex are my favorites.

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. If you want sheer egg production, I would recommend Black Sex Links (Black Stars). I have raised them for years, and they are hardy, friendly, egg laying machines. If you prefer standard breeds (sex links are hybrids and will not breed true), I suggest Black Australorps. I have also raised them for years, and they are very hardy, calm and gentle, and the best layers of the standard, brown egg laying breeds. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have. My favorite chicken is the Wyandotte. They are great layers of brown eggs, are docile, and come in many beautiful color varieties.
