Hello,

im currently dealing with a full grown Tom turkey wing fracture or dislocation of the Humerus 😖😭 after a fight with a wild Tom. It’s one thing after another with this turkey geesh!! But after two days of researching I came across this super informative file from a vet. It can be applied to all birds - minus the euthanasia parts because I’m sure most of us would keep an injured bird even if they lost flight ability! Anyways - wanted to post for everyone just in case if reference.

How is your turkey doing?

He is good! Has some limited range of motion in the wing but flaps it almost as high as the other. He can fly short distances - probably comparable to what he would normally be able to based on his size. Thanks for asking!

I guess that would help. Probably also explains why you were able to utilize the splinting manual.
