Day 21 and no pips. I'm freaking out. Did I do something wrong? As far as I can tell. Stella has been sitting very faithfully. She takes breaks but she always goes back. It has been fairly warm the whole time. Maybe everything is fine? I wonder if I should start over with new eggs, or would my poor broody starve sitting for that long. Maybe I should buy some day old chicks...Maybe I should just go to work and not think about it. Congratulations everyone with new babies!

Often they'll arrive on day 22 or 23 etc. I was reading on here recently a guy saying that one of his hatched on day 29!!! I know it's hard, but try to do something to distract yourself and check again in a couple of days.

My meatie chick died

I think his mama trampled him although it could be simply that he was a shipped egg - the only one to make it to lockdown out of that batch

I have four babies, and three others that have pipped but something looks weird. The eggs that have pipped have pipped through the shell but not the membrane. Is that normal? It looks like there is some space between the membrane and the actual shell, but I am not convinced it is shrinkwrapped as the humidity has been up between 60-70%.
