****Good God-HELP-UPDATE PG 5****

WAIT!!!! I had something similar happen this past weekend and I left it alone...as hard as it was. Chick hatched and was dry and walking around when I got back that night. It doesn't take much blood loss to kill them. Any intervention could cause more blood loss.

Yotetrapper, nope, it's actually my like 7th I think. Just never seen blood like this before. I have of course seen the brown staining on the membrane when they've pipped when not quite ready, but never blood like this before. Scared the bejesus outta me. So I'm being a very good girl, and spending my time on here, and making dinner, and putting chickens to bed. And not touching the bator I do know better, but if it was better to intervene, I would have done it.

Oldtimegator, if you see this, your babies are growing wonderfully

They are 4 weeks old now, and beautiful

All I do when I have one like that for several hours as long as there is movemet,, I spray it lightly with a spray bottle of water to keep it misted and from shrink-wrapping the baby.

Yeah!!! I had a hatch this past weekend and so far I'm pleased with each one of them.

BTW...when my chick had a huge hole in the shell, I upped the humidity to 75%....which I NEVER go that high...but it was the right thing to do. They lose so much moisture when they have a huge pip hole like that. I decided it would either be dead or hatched by the time I got home....and it was....HATCHED!!!!!!
