Hi all. First let me thank you all for your help, and for checking in for an update. It means so much to me. I hatched him out at 4:00 this morning. Everything was absorbed by then, and his membrane and the spilled blood had dried on him. Unfortunately, his head is mis-formed. He's missing an eye also. DH has christened him "one-eyed jack". What if it's a girl you're wondering? Well, then he said "one-eyed jill". He doesn't peep alot, and wants to sleep more than the others. Of course, he's been thru alot of trauma in his young life, so that's to be expected. We were worried his other eye was blind, since he doesn't yet try to run away when we pick him up, but he does flinch if we get close to that eye, so I guess it's ok. I'm not sorry I hatched him out, I want him to have a chance at least. If we need to, we will cull him. So without further ado, here he is.

Well he/she is for sure a fighter and is lucky to be hatched out at a place where he'll be given a chance. If the missing eye is all that's wrong I'm sure she'll do just fine like that. I love the one-eyed-jack/jill moniker!
