I have had good luck with Meyer hatchery.When I ordered mine the chicks arrived alert and healthy. The down side is I got some chicks with crooked toes. But overall you get quality chicks.

I had great luck with Mezter last year. I got 10 or 12 ducklings. Only one arrived not doing so good. They replaced her at no charge and shipped the new one out the next week, along with her 'packing peanut' who was a buff orp hen! Not a common pekin. I was very happy with them and will order again if needed. We just placed our first chicken order with Mcmurray. We shall see how they do. My father-in-law has ordered from them for years and likes them. I normally just buy local or buy and hatch eggs. Just having trouble finding what I want that won't break the bank.

Why not buy from a local breeder? Support someone's chicken habit and get healthy farm raised chicks. Craigslist is a great place to start.
