Good "high end" temp to hatch early?

I read a few times about people running their temps slightly higher in order to get a slightly early hatch... like day 19 or 20...

What is a good temp?

I have mine sitting at 101.4 on day 2... is that fine?

I wouldn't think the risk of an unhealthy hatchling is worth the early hatch. That said, I incubated a 99.5 and had an early hatcher on day 20, it just depends on the chick sometimes.

Temps will change the time of hatch to some extent, but day 19/20 hatchers are usually genetic. If you hold a well circulating forced air incubator at 101.5, you'll have dead embryos. Up or down from ideal a full degree is usually the limit of embryo survival. Still air should be 101.5 at the top.
