Good Incubators?

I love my genesis over my lil giant one.The genesis is alot more stabile n easier to hold humidity,u dont have to babysit it like I do with my lil giant one.
So look around I got my genesis incubator for $50 with turner off craigslist so pays to search,it took me only a few weeks to find one.Good luck

Hovabator Genesis 1588 is my favorite (I have the 1602N and the Brinsea micro) by far. Any universal turner will fit, and check around for the best price. I got mine from the manufacturer cheapest.

So we have looked through my different options and I think we have chosen to go with the Hovabator Genesis 1588, not sure if we are going to get a turner to go with it. I have had differing opinions so far, do you think it increases the hatch rate of the eggs, or does the opposite?

if you are going to be home at the right times to turn the eggs for 18 days it should not make a difference.

In the Philippines I have a mega bator I built with a see-saw manual turner for 360 eggs but I have Bernie, the Filipino Chicken Phenom aka my gardener employed to raise and lower the see saw at 530am, 1pm and 830pm. I know my limitations. I would forget or get stuck at work. I use turners here.

Ok i am going to ask one or two more questions before I give this thread a break. so.... my grandma gave me gave me a brinsea octagon 20, dont know which one though but I would like to know what to expect in general with this incubator, and, (prepare for a probably stupid question) what are some incubating terms i should know and their meanings, i.e lockdown???

ok! all of my knowledge so far has been gained from books and around my house the new joke is I'm an expert because "I read the book." I'll give that a try.
