Good link for Candeling?

Thanks for the wonderful replies and the link! I did candle on day 9 with a 80 lumens (did I spell that right?) flash light, made all the difference in the world! My kids came with me into the bathroom and I was glad cause the first egg I candeled I could see a dark area but I could not see the veins, my kids however could! (I guess my eyes are going after all!) Out of 13 eggs, we had 11 good ones. One never developed at all (just see thru in color) and one was icky! It had a dark mass, but the air pocket was moving as you moved the egg and I could see the freckles on the end too. I just tossed that one did not look right to me.

I am going to candle again on day 14 to make sure that they are all developing the same. I am guessing that by that time about 1/3 of the egg or so should just be dark with the chick, right?

Oh and on a few of them we could actually see them move! Especially the last egg, it did not like the light at all, was squirming around like crazy!

Well keeping in mind that I am no expert, but at day 9 I could see them moving. Not all of them and not super great but I did see them move. At day 14 almost all of them were moving, could not feel it holding the egg but some of them really did not like the light and you could see them wiggle around. Good luck! Make sure you have a bright light!
