I just came across this site http://www.trafficland.com/city/WAS/index.html that shows traffic cameras all around D.C. and VA. Doesn't look that bad yet. Not anything we'd get worried about up here anyway.

Here in southeast WV we had 10 inches by noon today, changed to sleet, stopped, then started with sleet again shortly after dark. Now is snowing like crazy, all the shoveling I did today was a COMPLETE waste of time. The weatherman here said our heaviest snow would fall tonight into tomorrow so I guess he was right. It is snowing so hard I can't see my shed in the backyard and it is not very far from my back porch. I am thinking I will have to get the snow off the roof tomorrow to keep it from collapsing (we live in a trailer).

It already had about 8 inches on it from the other snows we have had. When I checked it out before dark, it looked like it had close to 2 feet on it.

I'm just hoping and praying the power stays on. People that have lived in this area for years say this is the worse winter this area has seen in over 15 or more years. As for me, I am bout ready to move to Florida!

And prayers for all the OTR drivers like my dh who have to drive through those states.Dh is going for NY to FL with a lite load,and I am so nervous for him.Check on your neighbors if you can.I saw on the news 2 elderly that froze outside their home here in Ohio when the husband wentto help the wife after she fell,and then they were locked out of the house.Sad.

Keep warm and safe.I can't wait to take some pictures.The shoveling.....well that can wait.We made it home from school yesterday just as it started getting heavy here in Mahoning county Ohio.

Here in No VA it's drifting like crazy! Snow is heavy and coming down so fast. Took down my 7' fencing around my garden

It's not supposed to stop until late tonight and we have close to 2' on the ground now.
