Good luck to you Mid-Atlantic states.... Round 2.....

holy cow!

ok now i really dont want to go back home to all that mess. i've been out here on the left coast and NOT in The Big Snow. my hubby said they were out of power for the morning/early afternoon.

here is my update: i was outside in a tshirt this afternoon. there was no snow. there isnt even a CHANCE of snow. snow? whats snow? sigh.

i hope he remembers my boots and all my snow stuff when he comes to get me sunday nite......

OFG-

You back in town yet? Because round two is coming...

We are at it again with another 1-2 feet possible. Sounds like fun!

Good luck to you all that are still out of power! Even though you may not even be able to read this!

As it is ,most of my coops with netting on top have collapsed . I had to crawl through snow to feed the birds. Right now the water source for that group is snow. I know it sounds horrible, but the most I can do until some thaw occurs is throw the pellets into their hutch areas. They do not seem to want to come out. Even though the fence is down an they can escape the enclosures, only 1 has actually done this. I think they are still in shock about all the white stuff in their runs. Everyone seems to be accounted for except 1 chicken. She may be buried. : (
I am so not looking forward to the additional snow we should get today.........................

It's supposed to get nasty again tonight and tomorrow, so hang in there. It's tough for places that are not used to getting that much snow... I mean.. in your area, that was the biggest modern day storm to hit the Mid-Atlantic... With another one on the way, makes it very tough.

Hopefully your hen will show up when the snow melts.... that's hard. Good Luck...

We got a total of 19" on Saturday, and now we're expecting another 18". This is nuts. I'm also worried about the top of the run. I have plastic on it and it's pitched for runoff, but we had a lot of rain a few days before the snow, and the puddle on top of the plastic is a huge ice chunk now with mega snow piled on top of that. Maybe I'll pour some hot water on it and shove it off before the next snowfall.

chickygirl - I hope you find your hen.

Here I am in the snow belt of Northeast PA and this next storm will just graze us with 4 -6" (a dusting in these parts). I don't mind giving you southern guys some snow, but now you're just getting selfish!!

We have all the ski runs up here and wouldn't mind a foot. What gives?

Let's all just hope for a quick spring!

I have a couple of friends that get pounded in Erie.... I'm just south of Cleveland... so we get hit hard but not as hard as the top of Northeast Ohio and Northwestern PA...

Were getting pounded right now... Looking to have 12-16 inches by tomorrow night. It started about 3 hours ago and hasn't let up yet.
