Thanks all for such a warm welcome! As requested, more pictures:

We had an Easter egg hunt for our kiddos in the back yard and the hens were trying really hard to get to the center of this orange egg.

All of our animals get along pretty well together, thank The Lord.

Our purpose for getting chickens was three fold, teach our kids responsibility through caretaking and chores, reacting to the socio-economic instability we've witnessed and preparation for that worsening, and we simply enjoy animals and eating eggs

How crazy would it be if it's the same exact place? It's a great spot. If we ever have to move my hope is that it would be closer to the mountains. Bostic and Nebo are just up the road and seem like quiet, peaceful places.
