My first ever hatch!!!!!
Well Its finally happened at long last after starting off with 26 eggs in my incubator 9 of them had nothing in, 5 are still waiting in the incubator although it looks like 2 have a little crack in them!! I am now the proud owner of 12 tiny little silkies 5 gold 5 white and 2 black they are the cutest things i have ever seen!!!! And watching them hatch is one of the most amazing things ever even if it did keep me awake all night to watch it lol!!
We did have 13 that had hatched but unfortunetly when one of the others was hatching they pecked through the egg of it and somehow pecked its cord and left it with a hole in its tummy so when it completly hatched it was bleeding quite a bit (we didnt realise until it had completly hatched) and it was clearly suffering so my husband had to cull it as it seemed really unfair to try and see if we could save it when it looked so bad!! it was a very sad!!!
