I recently posted about my leghorn who was blinded by another flock mate. Both her eyes were pecked at basically to the point that she can only see light and dark and possibly movement but that’s it. I had her on antibiotics for 10 days and she’s made a full recovery! Though she can’t see, she has learned where the food and water is in her hospital crate and seems otherwise healthy. I’m currently building her her own special needs coop that will hoepfully be ready by spring,

And my other hen, a golden comet, had both sour crop and an impacted crop - and I was able to fix both issues!! For sour crop I fed her by mouth miconazole vaginal suppositories cut into three parts. I’d give her one part a day for I believe 5 days.

Then she was still wiggling her neck around and not wanting to eat so I froze little coconut oil “pills” in a gummy bear mold I had, gave her those for about 6 days and voila! She’s back outside in the main pen and back to her grumpy ways.

Thank you guys for your help!

Here are her healed, but blind, eyes.
