Oh my goodness!!!! I was just out side. Two weeks ago it was the mock orange bushes making the Fragrance of spring. Today its elderberry and clover. Man alive I just love living in Kansas! I am sorry that we suffer smashed fingers, economic crisis and the daily drama of our loved ones. Take a moment and a beach towel or blanket take your family or special loved one (even if its a dog) and go lay in a patch of clover. Watch the sunset, eat drink and pretend your Marry!
Just do it!!!!!!

If your a guy leave your high heals at home, other wise your wife or girlfriend will take them.

Sorry man it slipped my mind when I met up with you the other day too... Good news though 14/16 took and made the trip the our new home in Seneca (bator plugged into a power inverter) seamlessly... Not one spike!

I should be back on more regular again now, got only a few things to grab from the old house after this Sunday's swap meet... Finally got my big coop and run moved up here late last night in our final haul. Unfortunately two days ago my son's two D'Uccle roo's (one from Daren, one from another friend the next day... Odd I know) were mangled into play toys by the brother-in-laws black lab while we were away transporting stuff! Turns out there a little "security issue" in my mother-in-laws coop! (kinda wired living across the street lol!

So needless to say, Mykel will be with me looking to "restart" his first breeding project... Something other than my bantam Cochins and silkies though! Caught him starring at his little bator in his room today, I know he's itching to put something in it!

Which brings me to another tragic story, Daren... Is there a trick to getting these chukar chicks to start tailing food or something?!?! All three of the chicks I hatched passed two days ago! I'm sure I saw them using the water, but the food still looks untouched!!!!! Maybe anxiety from moving (sure was bad timing for a hatch)?

Hope to see everyone that can make it Sunday! I'm off to put together the layers coop and run so I can sleep and stop worrying about my girls! I'll be checking back in with pics for sure!!!!

BE DUDE!

Kansas Boy try boiling an egg and crumble up the yoke on the food. The yellow spots will intice them to peck. Also put a tiny amount of sugar in the water it will keep them in energy until they learn to eat.
Second option. Turn on the house light and catch a few moths and other bugs that they can be inticed to go after. Just wing em and put them in the food.
Glad the move is working for now!

Aryk,
Glad your alive. ........Lol.
As for the chukar chicks nope no trick other then sprinkling some food on a towel for the first few days. They naturaly peck at every thing. The reason for the towel is that you dont want them on a slick surface as this with increase the chance of spradle or splay leg. Call me when you get a chance.

I have to do it sorry................. Be Dude! LOL!
