Good Price for 4 Nigerian Dwarf Goats?

You guys, cool the jets...from the sounds of it, the OP knows the risks and was just wondering about pricing...

I've purchased many a diamond in the rough like this - my very best milker came from a herd I would consider mildly neglected...and I only paid $75 for her as an 8 week old kid. YEAH, I got lucky...but still.

OP Good luck in your decision

Thanks everyone, I did decide to pass...which I was going to any how much likely....just wanted to know what was fair for them..that is all. But it's good to know....this lady has been posting them for 2 months now, and she's not in a very big area, she sold their kids, but couldn't sell them....by what she's saying one goat cant even have kids, and the other 2 have 1 or 2 a piece....it just seems like a big mess....She says they are healthy and spoiled, but not worming and such bothers me....we have a Mini and a Goat along with 80 other birds, and are just going to focus on them for now...I was just looking for some other Nigerians for our little man....and not too many pop up in this area in our price range....we cant go out and pay $300 for a doe... or $150 for a wether and just let him out in the field and never do anything with him or her......

Matthew and I can not drink much cow milk without getting sick, and I think our son is also getting like that, so getting Nigerian does to milk, could have helped us out some..I guess we will keep looking and hope something comes up

But thanks for all the info, most times I feel like people don't even read my post fully and I feel like an idiot....but that's ok....

Thanks everyone...

Sorry, but you are ripping people off wanting to buy adult does for $20.

Do you have any idea the amount of time and feed that goes into growing these animals out?

To give a rough estimate, $1 per day per goat just to feed them.

Now, there are a range of factors that come into play, age you are selling them at - kids havent had as much investment into them, but you will breed from them longer, aged does wont breed much longer etc.

But honestly, give the breeder a bit of respect. I think $20 a goat is insulting, really.

$300 is a very good price for 4 breeding age goats and I would be happy to pay that price.
I have 3 dwarf goats for sale, just turned 2 years. All Doe
