good price for bator + turner?

Hovabators are alright.. the price is ok if you do not have to add on shipping..

I have about a half dozen of them..

I have not paid more than 25.oo for any of them..including the turners..
and they all have air circulating fans also..

once you have the first one, then you can kick back and shop..

I followed "Gopherboy Builds a bator"

I'm just not sure that I could build one my self.

That's a still air incubator. I highly recomend you get a forced air model.
Watch for shipping costs to. A bator is very light and should be under
$10 to ship UPS Ground.

They
are a BYC sponsor and have good shipping rates. You are better
off spending a couple extra bucks.

I would also advise against buying a used bator unless it's half the cost
or less than what a new one costs. I see people here all the time
selling $40 bators for $30. Sorry, but for the extra 10 bucks I'll take
a new one. There are exceptions to this of course.

MAN!!! This is a hard decision...What would be more important the bator with the fan or an auto egg turner. If I get the forced air I can't afford the egg turner... amazon has free 2 day shipping no min purchase right now. Otherwise I'd be all about the other site!

I would think the forced air fan would come first for me......you can always put a book under one end of your incubator and "tilt" it back and forth by switching the end the book is under rather than hand turning all those eggs......plus you won't have the drops in temp and humidity that you would have by opening the lid over and over.....~
I personally never candle and open the lid only rarely............. and I normally have very good luck with hatches............. Good Luck!
