Okay so I'm not familiar with Buckeyes?? What do you do with them?? Are they a bean?

We know of no good use for buckeyes, except that carrying one in your pocket is supposed to bring good luck. I read on the internet that the Native Americans would crush and peel them and make a sort of mush out of the inside. I won't be mushing anything, but they are gorgeous to look at. I have a tall glass vase filled with them and they look so cool.
