Good Water Heaters?

I have a heated dog bowl, cheap, but only good for a few hens (holds about a gallon) and I wouldn't recommend it for inside the coop because they will likely kick it full of bedding. I think all water heaters will have a thick cord because they are designed for outside use and have a ground wire/pin.

I use a heated dog bowl on top of 4 stacked patio bricks. Works great.

I would like a good recommendation on a heated waterer that hangs. I bought this piece of crap from Amazon and the thing fills the ring of water clear to the top and I cant even get it in the coop without slopping water all over the place. I know the chickens slop water all over they cant help it. Not good !

Nope...gotta turn it upside down to fill, not too handy.

And here it is finished...

As soon as freezing temps hit i will post my results. The socket , cord and switch cost $5. The rest was scrap material i had.

I have this and so far it's been fabulous!! Easy to carry jug and it has a plug that pops out when you set it on base, no sloshing water when flipped over
