Thanks for the additional comments, all.

Neither chicken began laying early; all were on grower feed until they began to lay. They lay medium sized eggs, so egg size is not an issue.

I'm going with the Nutrena or Purina feed from now on.

I'll keep everyone updated on Blanche.

I love Purina. Wouldn't give the girls anything else. I have used Layena...and Flockraiser (with higher protein) during times of heavy molt.
