It's always hard to place the ones you love in new homes. I,too, believe they should be with me forever. I am a forever kind of person.
He will be cared for properly, it sounds as if you researched his new home well. It's hard, but sometimes, it's the best thing to do. If you and your DH are having issues over him already, it will only get worse. Why put yourself through that? You owe it to yourself, your DH and your beloved roo.
In the long run, it will be better for all of you. Too much resentment can and will build up. It's not worth the future heartache and pain if you should keep him against your hubby's will. If his crowing (the roo's, not your DH's lol) is already making you cringe, then you are already getting too stressed to really enjoy him.
Go ahead and shed some tears, it's normal and healthy too, then realize that he and both of you will be happy once everyone's adapted to the change.
Best wishes to your roo and his new life as King of his Polish Harem.
