Here are some updated pics of Gumbo the crowing machine. I now can lay in bed and hear him crow in the morning, I just love that. Isn't he gorgeous.

It's fun to look back at the beginning of this thread and see how he has matured into a great rooster.

No, he didn't pass, he found a new home so he would stop wearing my hens out. He has 3 of them plum bald on their backs. I found him a good home. Now, Cesar will have his turn at them. 1 rooster to 13 hens should not be too bad, I hope.

I also wanted to make sure that if we get any chicks to hatch they would be pure buff orps, Gumbo was a buff rock. So, maybe we will get some baby chickies this spring, naturally, I don't want to do the incubator thing, yet.
