So, today my beautiful frizzled polish silkie passed. She was one of my favorites and she had the softest cutest feathers. I took it very hard. I don’t think it was a painful death, but I don’t know the cause. I had checked on them 30 minutes before and she was acting fine, so my guess would be some sort of genetic heart defect.
She was loved and she will be missed. I hope she has a good time in chicken heaven.

I appreciate the kind words. She was so special to me. I used to show her off to everyone I saw showing pictures and letting them pet her. When I found her I just cradled her and talked to her for a while, which actually helped a bit. Now I feel like I kind of sent her off with a proper goodbye.
