Did it start with the very first Walton movie, the Christmas special, when they did the goodnights? I can not remember!

I love the waltons! My kids watch them at my moms house and they love them to. We watched one the other night about their(waltons) cow having a calf. The mama cow went off and had the calf and got lost, grandpa ended up finding her and baby.
My kids loved that calf almost as much as the kids on the tv! Now they all want us to get another calf! Life was a lot harder in the 30's then it is now!

I watched it as a young teen and always thought the mother was too strict. I had the hots for Mary Ellen though.
