What your broody (yes, she IS broody) is doing is perfectly fine. When you approach her she will raise her rear end, fluff up her feathers, and what I call "growl" at you....they do NOT want to be bothered...takes their mind off what they're doing. They almost seem like they're in a "trance-like-state" ... If you have provided her with water and feed nearby (not too close, you want her to have to get up at least once a day to eat/drink/poop. not to worry...sounds like you have a great little broody there! Let us know when you get little fuzzy-butts!my friend had the same problem. Until i took her Monday w/ 2 eggs from another.Since i"ve had her home, she doesn't look like she moved at all????
She has her water and scratch feed & some maters or watermelon. I pet her when i get home from work and check on her, she raises her butt like a cat and clucks a lil.
just want to know is this healthy.
thank you for any help.
