throwing my 2 cents in here....my male Pekin duck doesn't care who he mates with (chickens or my MALE mallard duck). Have had to keep them separate since the first of April. He nearly killed the little mallard. And I think that even if I added a female his size, he might still act aggressively towards the other male at breeding time (even tho the mallard is clearly not a threat). So I have increased my work load again... creating safe areas far from the reaches of "Gus the Stud Duck". It never ends, does it? PS. As you can see from my picture, there is a great discrepancy in the sizes
