Goose Behaviour Questions....

Quote:
Nifty said that they were not telling how many posts it takes to be able to post pictures, otherwise the 'spammers' would just post 10 times then post pictures.

Shelly-
when I just had joined and wanted to set up my profile, avatar, and post some pics. (after I started a thread) this disclaimer came up and said I had to have at least 10 posts to be able to post pics. set up profile etc. dut to the problem they have been having with spammers lately. I was brand new a week ago, so I wouldn't know any different. So I tried to get the required posts in order to be able to do the set-ups I wanted to do.
It said AT LEAST 10. So maybe that is the minimum posts and they have a max post b4 u can do it. All I know is that I had well over 10 posts before I knew it and was able to set it up. I didnt try to set it up with exactly 10 posts.
I will try and find it and link it to you.
Thanks, sorry for any confusions,
T.

Here is a post I found from another new BYC person she writes:
... now a catch 22. I can't post my eggs for sale because my state is not in my profile, but I can't update my profile until I have 10 posts.

So, I know it did say specifically 10 posts at one point.

Shelly- Here is another post I copied pertaining to the subject of # of post requirements for new members to be able to post pics/

What do I have to do to post my pictures with my question? I have over 10 post so I qualify...just don't know how. Please email with your reply to [email protected]

Thank you, Nancy (graphicgranny.

I am thinking that the disclaimer that comes up when you try to set up your avatar/profile (as a brand new member) does tell you that you must have at least 10 postings in order to set up this page.
Hope this clears up any confusion, or helps someone find something that needs to be edited.
Thanks,
T,

I'd say if the alligator got your goose in a stream or pond that would be the reason it is not going into your pool. It is afraid of what might be lurking there to mangle it again.

TheGooseGirl-
I agree with Orange Ribbon- He knows after his special human friend gets into the pool and nothing takes his leg off then he is safe too.
GOOD ONE Orange Ribbon!
I would put floating food in the pool to try and coax him in with the human friend, then just the food. He will get it that the pool is safe.

Tigerluv; have you ever heard of goose diapers... or the goose mother (she and the goose father take their geese everywhere apparently and their geese wear diapers too)... You can find them online relatively inexpensively. You seem like the kind of caring, loving pet owner to go the extra mile, diapers may be just the thing to bring your goose inside and give him more time with you at least until papa goose comes back... I have been thinking about doing this too since my neighbors could potentially turn me in for having ducks and geese. If you had your goose inside at least part of the day, you would definately be cutting down on any noises or the chance of being found out or complained about.
