Beautiful, congrats. On my 3 eggs that were due to hatch they piped and did not go very far and just stayed in the shell. So Mom goose here took over throughout the day and night. I started chipping the shell away every couple hours so we did not get any bleeding. The one did start a bit so put it back and came back a couple hours later and took more off. It took me all day and all night to help the two goslings hatch. Both are grey Sebastopol's...
So here the two are hatched April 13th.
On Sunday the 3rd egg finally started to pip with a small crack in the sell. This gosling if I had not helped it would have died in the shell because it was so weak... So opened the shell so the gosling could breath. As the day went on I just kept going in and peeling more off and got down to where there was just enough left to cover the yolk sack. After awhile the gosling did pull out of the shell. But had yolk still out so I put warm wet paper towels around the baby to cover the yolk sack until baby absorbed.
This gosling was just so listless I was afraid it was not going to make it.
Now here is the third grey gosling I am proud to show off now. Had to tape the legs because too weak to get up on it's own. But when I taped them legs together we got up and walked!![]()
Here is goslings number 3 from that hatch.
Here are the three together.
