My sebs go in with the horses all the time or over right by them....

Mine are always interested in my horses most of them honk and run off though if they make a sudden move.
My Sally thinks she is a shepherd dog, trys to move the horses though im always thinking dont pinch their hind legs you'll get your bill kicked off lol

I think geese and horses go great together. Ours get along wonderfully, but the geese respect that the horses rule the pasture.

I started working on my Goose egg christmas ornaments yesterday evening. Mildred laid 8 eggs in August so i kept them to make things out of them. I learned my lesson though next time ill blow them out when they are fresh lol first one i put a hole in spewed like a geyser all over me, two more were bad also the other 5 were fine. Rotten egg is as hard to get off as trying to get skunk off lol
Once they are dry i will begin their paint jobs.

When you get them painted please put pictures on for us all to see!!!!

I'm in the middle of the pet vs food debate. I always kept a few of the Embden babies for the freezer. BUT there is no way any Dewlaps are gonna be anyone's dinner.

Ducks, scovies, chickens and rabbits are destined for freezer camp. Not my favorite activity but I like and trust my meat better then what you find in the store. It's all a personal choice and no one is wrong in their choice. IMO

I will it might be a day or two. Lydia asked me to post some too.
I got my idea from a woman near me that makes all kinds of stuff out of different eggs. She had a ostrich egg tea set for sale and i asked her if she had ostriches, because i wanted to hatch some. She buys her eggs off of ebay and also has ordered goose eggs from me this spring. Has beautiful things but she charges $13.50 each just for a goose egg ornament.

I didnt, there was something not right about it. He offered a pair of peafowl in trade but i turned him down. Even though i had been wanting peafowl, i was not going to take a chance that my geese might be going somewhere that was dangerous.

it wouldent suprise me that his geese will go from 200 down to 50 around christmas time :D
