wow ! Thats alot of africans ive only around 12 africans and im going to try and breed properly this spring since ve the african breed only for 3 years and none of those years was a success (this year i hatched a bunch of africans very first time and all got stolen except one .so this spring ill do betterHey Serv, I took this picture yesterday for you in response to your post on the embden thread.... but since I do not have any embdens, I thought it better to post here. This is my "non-dewlap" barnyard group. Most of my brown africans are hatchery quality, but my whites (which are also rare here in the states) are quite nice. I'm pretty excited to focus on hatching goslings from my whites next spring.![]()
Love the flock. Geese and horses together, thats how it should be lolHey Serv, I took this picture yesterday for you in response to your post on the embden thread.... but since I do not have any embdens, I thought it better to post here. How long have you had your muscovy ducks? Mine are almost a year old and won't sit on anything.![]()
Mayerling, I have two 1.5year old muscovy females. One has never gone broody. The other went broody this summer, but stepped on or otherwise ruined every egg in her nest. She somehow got one to hatch and then killed it.![]()
My muscovies are great breeders, devoted mums and have never broken eggs as yet. I have 2 that are coming up for a year and have raised their first clutches and are now looking around for another nesting site. A third has raised her brood and just this week hatched out the goslings....curious how different they are, eh?How long have you had your muscovy ducks? Mine are almost a year old and won't sit on anything.![]()
And when you guys are all busy with tiny peeping things, mine will all have become great big thugs!!!!OLAH peeps ! Will be a hatching fool soon! Nice to B Back![]()
