Here are some I took today. I don't know how you guys get such good pics of your birds. Maybe you have more patience than me!

Sebs are about 8 weeks old and the Americans are about 6 weeks, I think. The Sebs are all white. Any "color" you see on them is dirt from digging holes in the yard.












And then when I'm leaving, of course they start paying attention to me.

Do you ever ship your Americans? I don't mean now, it's too hot, but maybe next spring?

Hi all...I have a question...Has anybody used the Sportsman Cabinet Incubators and Hatchers for goose eggs? They have the Emu egg trays that are supposed to be good for the goose eggs. I was thinking of investing in them during the fall/winter. I like to let my birds do what comes naturally, but there are usually so many eggs, I have to intervene to some extent. If there is a better setup, I am all ears.

She hatched it fine. Where i live the humidity is high anyways so i didnt have to spray it. The gosling hatched healthy and is now a month old. There is also a member on here that uses Turkey hens and chickens to hatch her goose eggs.

would you be able to leave the goosling with the mother hen or would it be best to take it from her.

It depends on what you want. Do you want the gosling human friendly or wild and wants nothing to do with humans? If you raise the gosling for a couple weeks and then give to the momma you gosling will be human imprinted and do well around humans. The back fall to letting the momma raise the gosling is they will be terrified of humans and go into stress when and if you have to pick them up to examine them for some reason for like seeing if they have bumble foot or ect.

So you recommend taking the hatched by goose goslings and brooding them inside for a couple of weeks then giving them back to their parents?

Yes, I do. Because I let my Samantha and Sammie raise their First goslings and when they became young adults did not want us to get near them. So decided that I wanted to put my hands on the goslings for at least a couple weeks and boy are they so much friendlier that way!!!!

Well I hatched out a Buff girl yesterday

~ From my Fritter eggs,
AND I GOT MY 1st GREY GIRL !!!! And another boy;
and a GIRL from BeeDub!

My CRACKER egg (white dewlap afri-cross)egg developed but never externally pipped, and when I cracked it open it was a WHITE African BUT it was deformed ?

So I am actually relieved it did not hatch. I want the strongest healthiest flock I can have, so I can provide strong healthy babies in the future

I still have one ~ possibly 2 more chances of getting a White African 1 LONE egg left for a white

I have 9 more Dewlap Eggs left and all are looking good ! Set them on the 25th

4 Prize Trio eggs

& 1 Dewie BeeDub (White PLEASE), 1 Dewlap African & 1 Fritter (another buff girl please !)
