I know parts of the south. Where are you? Up in the north or on the beautiful west coast? Do you see a lot of wild greylags where you are?

Haha u sound like you know ireland off by heart and i live in limerick which is in the south and i never saw greylags in the wild but someone told me that theres one place where you can see these wild birds near where i live . Ive greylags for breeding and i love them they are my fav of the wild geese

Not to forget others on these threads in Australia! Actually I´m more familiar with Wicklow, but part of my family comes from Cork. How long since you lived in Holland? Did you see the white wild greylags there?

I love how international this thread is. Thanks for joining us, Brazil & Serv.

Well, I´m learning a lot through other people´s experiences, and passing on my experiences in turn.....here where I live there´s practically NO expertise in keeping geese, and the english books I have, good though they are, don´t cover everything. So, international is good. After all, here I am in Brazil with geese whose ancestors came from my homeland, most probably...or at least, northern europe. Where we would come across servpolice too!

Sharing experiences and supporting each other during the ups & downs is what makes this forum great. The best advice I have ever received about hatching geese came from the guy who started this thread.... Pete55.... who, by the way, lives in England.
