Alright one of my girls has laid 5 eggs. The first is in the nest to keep her laying there. We ate the second and third. I have fourth and fifth ready to hatch. The 2 we ate were fertile. I read that the first few eggs a goose lays don't hatch well. Are eggs from the fourth on good to hatch? Or do I need to wait longer?

I usually eat the 1st two to check fertility ~ then set

I have only have chickens sit on eggs and they were her own once. So I am absolutely no help here ~ Unless sarcasm and useful information is what you seek

Such exciting news! Have you left all 10 eggs with her? She should go broody soon if she has 10. Is that muscovy still broody? Could you pop a couple under her?
