They have been going in and keeping the eggs warm off an on during the day, a couple times laying an egg amongst the goose eggs. Of course they have to get out quick if grumpy comes around.Okay, I gotta hear this!
what do they do?

Daisymeadow, how´s it going with the gosling?Still no external pips this morning, so I may make an emergency air hole late this afternoon, just in case. Don't want to lose one for being just a tad tardy. Gosling #1 is dried out now and in the brooder. Sort of getting the whole walking thing down in fits and starts. But in his/her defense, it had a big day yesterday.![]()
And I just looked at my schedule again last night and realized I have potentially 17 more babies on the way due Monday. Only one goose in that batch, though. Here's hoping they come soon if these two don't make it out. Gozzie needs a buddy and the turkeys will only be roommates for a few days.
My geese that Iraised as goslings were fine with me, I could take the eggs out to listen to them, pick up their goslings afterwards, no problem at all.Oh how well I know RURU I have been bitten many times by Sam, I try to stay ou of reach or put something between us, he hates the bamboo pole I use. or the broom or the can I carry the shavings in etc. and the drakes and lets see the ducks and chickens aren't high on his list right now either. lol Missy has never acted aggressive towards me will she get that way if she hatches any goslings?
Poor chickens!! But the signs from Missy are good, MLyd, let´s hope she gets the urge soon......They have been going in and keeping the eggs warm off an on during the day, a couple times laying an egg amongst the goose eggs. Of course they have to get out quick if grumpy comes around.![]()

I think some can take up to 33 days? Do you have some cloth or towelling or similar on the floor so the gosling can get a good grip?Gosling is not quite right, I'm afraid. Showing a bit of spraddle leg and strange head shape, as well as taking a bit longer than usual to walk around normally. We'll just keep an eye on it. I just sold the 2 turkeys that were in the same brooder, so it is alone now. Not that it minded the turkeys in the first place.
Still no progress on the two eggs in the 'bator. I just poked tiny emergency holes in the butt end of the eggs, just in case somebody is still trying to get out. I've never had geese take longer than 30 days to get out.

And have the eggs internally pipped? Just keep an eye that they keep damp enough so the membrane doesn´t dry up on them.
Hope all goes well for you, then. Nearly there.Today is day 33. I think one has internally pipped. No peeping, but some movement on candling last night. The other one, no telling. Lots of moisture in the incubator. Everything is ready to go, just need some babies now!
Gosling has nice bedding and plenty of grip. No hard surfaces or slippery floors. I may hobble it tomorrow if it doesn't show signs of straightening on its own.
Last year J[ Iain Utah] had a gosling hatch that had alot of fluid around it's head I believe and after a while it absorbed it all so lets hope the same for your gosling. If it's fluid.Today is day 33. I think one has internally pipped. No peeping, but some movement on candling last night. The other one, no telling. Lots of moisture in the incubator.
