You'll get eggs this year Missy laid her first year, she laid before she turned 1 actually so be patient MR. lol The season is just getting under way.Craziest breeding season ever. Mine mate when the weather is nice and eat when it is cold. This has been going on for a month or two but no eggs yet. However, mine are still young. Only 11 months old. So they may only mate this season and wait another year for eggs. I am hoping still. Would love to have some little goslings running about.
I sure hope you're right. I am holding off ordering any new birds to see what they do. If they do nothing then I may just be up the creek until next year the way everyone is selling out so far in advance. The place I got them (Hill Country Poultry) has evidently gone out of business but they were close enough to drive to and they had juvenile birds. No one around me seems to have geese for sale...not even on Craigslist...which I am a little leary of anyway. So I wait and hope. You'll get eggs this year Missy laid her first year, she laid before she turned 1 actually so be patient MR. lol The season is just getting under way.![]()
