Hi, i'm new here and just learning about geese. I have a goose, she was hand raised from 1 day old. She spends her days outside with everyone in the yard and comes in at night with us and sleeps in her baby crib next to my sons bed. Sometimes she has what i think are nightmares, and she will wake up hissing and/or screaming , and we have to talk to her and pet her and calm her down and she'll go back to sleep. Is she having nightmares? or is this a normal goose thing? There isn't really anything scary in the house, except the darkness. There aren't any noises that wake her up. She just jumps up and screams. Last night, in the middle of the night, she jumped out of her crib screaming bloody murder and ran across the house. By the time i woke up, ran down the hall yelling randomly at the dogs "leave it leave it leave it"...(the dumb old dogs slept through the whole incident) she was huddled in the corner, shaking. I calmed her and put her back in her crib and she went back to sleep. My son said she hissed at nothing for a little while before falling asleep. I'm thinking about making her sleep outside, but i'm worried about her being lonely.
