Hello, I came to check on my geese, I do it every hour when they are outside. It was fine last time I was out. I think it was a bug bite and the gosling scratched his eye and irritated it. What should I use for treatment? Should I cover his toenails to prevent further damage? Thanks in advanced.

Headed to the feed store to get ointment and stuff. I’m going to get some elector psp for the chickens and to spray around the area. This will help with the waterfowl as well, even if not applied, correct?

Saline Eye Wash by Bausch and Lomb is very good to flush the ey with. Terramycin ointment (a small dab) can then be applied to the eye twice a day. I would look into the eye for any debris next time you treat it.

It was clear, I checked that right away. 3rd eyelid was a bit sticky, not too bad though. It looks significantly better now. Swelling went down. Thanks much.
