Goose Housing for Bed Time

Our Americans will jump to reach leaves on the citrus and apple trees. They love watermelon and apples and red tomatoes too. Our ducks eat every grape ever offered, but the geese seem to ignore them. Pumpkin and squash is a huge hit too

Oh this sounds so cool. I can see that ALL of you enjoy the apples. Makes me want one now.

I guess I'll try to dice one up and hand feed Dolly. That might work. There I go spoilng her again. LOL.

Its neat to read how everyone is with thier animals. I never figured I would have any but now that I do it is awesome.

I just had a new chicken hen lay for the first time. I am happy about that. I love finding the chicken eggs each day. Can't wait to see Dolly's.

Congrats on the egg. and goose eggs are awesome. make great omlets.

I gave Dolly watermellon and she didn't eat that eiother. Dog gone finicky goose. lol. I have not tried pumpkin or squash though - I will. I'll get some more and try and see if she changes her mind. At my house whatever the goose doesn't eat the chickens will. lol.

I've tried giving my geese watermelon, grapes, apples and cantaloupe, they taste it then shake their head and out it comes but they go crazy for my birdy cornbread!! It the cornbread I have zucchini, apples, carrots, quinoa, and whole kernel corn.

geese who were never exposed to items like melon and carrots, ect will be less likely to take to it quickly. They also do not take to change quickly, so you need to not offer something once and give up. Kale tied in bundles and hung from a tree is good for entertainment too.

I do the Romaine lettuce tied and offered they love it, and when I first put out watermelon my geese looked at it like it can from outer space but as soon as the chickens started on it well they charged it and ate it down to thin shell. It does take time to introduce anything to geese. lol
