Goose in a bachelor flock of drakes?

i strongly recommend keeping the drakes no matter what. 5 drakes will be hard to find a home for, and so many people will kill drakes for no reason except that they are drakes. hens are very easy to find loving pet only homes for

Yeah, but they can't keep 5 drakes* and a single goose female

I think I’m hoping Glory (our gosling) is male. Eggs would be nice but I would gladly keep these boys. If I can’t, they go back to my friend’s bigger flock to be rehomed, and I’ll worry about them but she’s passionate about finding good homes.

I’m most bonded to these 5 more so than the hens this far. Good thoughts appreciated.

I have a goose pair and ducks and drakes before I brought home my goose for my gander my gander who was hatched by a Mucovy mated with the muscovy females but they are a strudy birds [and they liked him] I don't believe I'd want my gander who weighs probably close to 20lb mating my female Runners. He hasn't ever tried. Only problems I have during breeding season is fighting between my Muscovy drake and my Embden gander.
I will say my female goose does not like any sexual activity going on in her domain. She always tries to break it up. lol

Just an update on how this went- we kept a ”bachelor flock” of 4 indian runner drakes along with the female gosling, all had hatched at the same time at my friend’s and I raised them as a fun quarantine project. My friend wanted the female ducks back, but gifted me the gosling, Glory, who we were very attached to. Glory needed assistance hatching and a lot of time and attention at first to thrive, which we did. Anyway yes we kept a tony group of Glory plus 4 drakes through two seasons. They did fine together, followed Glory as the leader and didn’t have any problems. Occasionally one of the boys would start the head bob thing and maybe think about trying but she’d put him in his place quick. So all was good and friendly. Maybe because they knew each other from hatch on?

Just before Thanksgiving it was a good time for Glory to rejoin her sisters and learn how to be a goose. A friend had taken 4 drakes I’d not kept, and that’s been a wonderful setup for them with a real pond, so it just worked out to rehome the ducks too. Leaving me with an empty coop which we are prepping for chickens this time. Loved and miss my silly ducks and the lovely Glory. I hope someday I have actual land to have them again. Backyard waterfowl was messy but very fun. And Goosie was loud but my neighbors were very tolerant!
