Do any of you house chickens or guineas and geese in the same house? I am getting ready to build a large coop for my guineas and chickens and would also like my goose to be able to sleep in their as well. Currently she comes into the house every night and sleeps in a dog kennel because I am paranoid after a fox killed ten of my birds one night. The coop I will build will 8' x 8-12'; I am not sure if i will building or buying the shed that will form the main structure so I'm not 100% sure on the size. I don't know if she will be annoyed staying with other birds or welcome the company, and I'm not sure how to handle flooring and bedding since she poops A LOT during the night. I was planning to give her a corner with a straw pile to snuggle down into (not under the roosts of course). I appreciate any feedback, advice, lessons learned, and so forth. Some things I know I need to account for are to have steps and/or a small deck for her to use to enter and exit, as well as making sure there is a way to let her out into the yard but keeping the chickens and guineas in the run when I am not home. The goose is free range all day but the others will only be free range when I am home, or at least that is the plan. I know guineas especially like to make their own rules.
